Definately one of the BEST.  We do have a small one in downtown Berkeley & one
on SF, both are in areas with serious parking issues -- still, they are worth
the trouble.  There is a great alternative 6 days a week call the Monterrey
Market in No.Berkeley, great produce, nice staff, really great pricing.  Mostly
local (Cal & Oregon) and organic; but, if it grows on this planet, and Bill,
the owner can find a source, he'll get it for you. Kiwis, longans, red baby
bananas, peppers of all shapes and sizes, black radishes, purple carrots,
morel, chantrelles, shitakes,or Idaho russets, you name it, it's there.
Truffles have been appearing of late. European ones. (Too pricy for me...) I
get green all year around, and berries to die for. Lezlie
