Hello, Bob! 07 Jan 16 15:57, from Bob Seaborn -> Richard Menedetter: >> BS> Well, I do also have a fusion and a dmr rig, but don'tplay with >> BS> them all that much. I do much prefer the audo quality of D-STAR. >> >> Really?? BS> Yes, absolutely! I do have rigs for all three, and fusion is BS> close to D-STAR, but I'd say that dmr has a way to go. Mind you, I'm BS> using them all with a DV4Mini, as we only have D-STAR and fusion BS> repeaters within range here. It very much contradicts what other people I know say. Maybe it is an implementation issue in your other radios?? Fact is that D-Star uses an older, worse version of the AMBE codec than the others. DMR and Fusion use AMBE+2 which is from the same company as D-Stars older AMBE Codec, but with improved sound quality: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-Band_Excitation CU, Ricsi --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5* Origin: fido.ricsi.priv.at (2:310/31) SEEN-BY: 14/5 19/33 75 34/999 90/1 116/18 123/500 128/187 140/1 218/700 222/2 SEEN-BY: 230/150 240/1120 249/303 250/1 261/38 100 266/404 267/155 280/1027 SEEN-BY: 282/1031 1056 292/907 908 320/119 219 340/400 396/45 633/0 267 280 SEEN-BY: 633/281 406 640/384 712/620 848 770/1 801/161 2320/105 @PATH: 310/31 313/41 240/1120 261/38 712/848 633/280 267 |
