Hiya Mike,
On 11-02-98, whilst lying in the gutter of the information super highway, I
heard Mike Bilow whispering to Neil Croft about Upgrade,

We've had two unplanned shutdowns in the last week or two. One was a
contractor running some cables under the floor and accidentally knocked a
trip switch that, arguably, shouldn't have been there and, arguably,
shouldn't have had both IBM mainframes running off it.
The other was due to "non disruptive" maintenance of the UPS. Unfortunately a
faulty breaker bounced as it switched over and all the PDUs tripped out. 8
out of the 9 mainframes went down hard along with all the comms and
associated kit. The 9th mainframe wasn't on the UPS 'cos when the UPS was
installed everyone thought it would be going soon so saved the money. Not bad
for a 22 year old.
