GKA> Maximus Squish and Husky hpt can work together as hpt GKA> is Sq doing so husky software of hpt and htick + GKA> nltools + fastlst do the work so maximus have only to GKA> use the msgbase. Good.... GKA>> All my directories and paths in linux is in lovercase. BJ> Ok. Just be consistant in all the control files. The original BJ> examples used a mixed case in a case insensitive enviornment -- and BJ> not all the control files were consistent.... Sounds like you have BJ> this issue handled. GKA> Yes i have find it out, so i for oldfiles have to GKA> change the path from using windows direction as \\ and GKA> \ to be as /home/kofo/ftp/ for newfiles and GKA> /home/ftp/pub/fido/ for oldfiles. GKA> Then maybe starting to change the way it doing it so GKA> the numbers from before is change with 1-5000 is x10 GKA> more so new files will have the first number of 1 to GKA> 1000 Ah... So your main concern is the quantity of file areas. I understand. I see you are still using the older style of using file area numbers and not the optional naming convention introduced in Maximus version 3. If you are familiar with PEARL or AWK, you may want to generate your filearea.ctl file using a pearl or awk script based from a directory (ls -ald) of the directories of interest. GKA> I haven't setup the file directory yet, as I have some GKA> other things to do, but i will look on it. GKA> I can put in a file area as my ftp server using for new files .... GKA> it can be like this /home/kofo/ftp/avdat/ GKA> and by ftp server is it ftp://gen2ghz.kofobbs.net/ftp/avdat/ GKA> A path for oldfiles is /home/ftp/pub/fido/nodelist/ GKA> and the ftp is ftp://gen2ghz.kofobbs.net/pub/fido/nodelist/ Sounds reasonable....
