If they GM> had some positive feedback, the positive and negative trigger GM> levels would be different and they would be called Schmitt GM> Trigger Buffers. The LM311 seems to have a signal path between the output pre-driver and the "Balance/Strobe" input terminal pin but it seems to be a current source so perhaps it has no effect. Couldn't adding a little regeneration simply increase the overall gain without affecting the trigger levels? Mike **** ...
