You wouldn't have to use a hood out there would you???
 
The only mask I have trouble with every once in awhile is the Mares ESA 
that I have, I can get a good seal, but my bangs sometimes I get a few 
hairs down in the seal and I get water in that way otherwise If I get 
all my hair back that I am set.  
 
But anyways I mostly commented on the mask squeeze, because I know it 
happens, I know my first dives I had a problem with ears not 
equalizing, and a Doctor of dive medicine told me that it was from 
going down the anchor line too fast and coming up too fast.  Last 
diving I did, No problems with the ears.
