*** Quoting Susan Siegel from a message to All ***
SS> I am forever buying all sorts of craft items to make things with
SS> my kids, but I am not good about coming up with "crafty ideas" My
SS> kids are 5 and 4.Among my inventory of supplies are, craft sticks,
SS> yarn,plastic canvas material,magnetic strips, felt, tissue
SS> paper, watercolor paints, fingerpaints,etc-I am looking for ideas for
SS> simple crafts to do with my kids. All suggestions would be greatly
SS> appreciated-Thank you in advance!
Got some big pictures in coloring books already used up? Take a hole punch
and with them over the plastic canvas, punch your own 'connect a dot' setup.
Now use the yarn and some big blunt needles (crochet hooks work) and let the
little one make the yarn into the picture from the book.
Watercolors. If you lice in an area safe enough, cut them loose on the
driveway with water color paints. Just plop your chair at the street end and
put them near the house in 'playclothes'. Dont be afraid to tape big
swatches of paper to the driveway if needed.
