THAT I knew about....which is why paints changed and so did our gasoline
to exclude lead.  I am certain that there are high levels in some folks

You mean to say that our love affair with the automobile is turning out
to be dangerous and injurious to our health :)?
The automobile engine was originally, according to a friend of some
years back who researched this out, designed to run on ALCOHOL. Then
someone discovered oil.
We could revitalize the entire agricultural industry, send folks back to
the farms, and ensure both enough water and food in the next century if
we would only run our autos on alcohol.
