While the company I was working for may not be using Maximus, the garbage
paperwork they force for IP issues is not good. Rather than prove what you
state (which would be needed to keep the code base clean), I feel it is
better to wait out their terms. No one cares to force a legal battle....
Only the attorneys would make out in that situation.....

Next round, I plan to be more specific and force exceptions to cover some
specific areas, possibly including GNU licensed (or similar licensed) code,
pointing to Debian, Free Software Foundation and SourceForge.net, and maybe
some others. And it may not be acceptable to be that broad.... [I know of
one "free" program that would potentially conflict with a
different business segment of the company than the segment I work in -- and
their paperwork tends to cover all segments..... Not something I'll touch
while working there, but it is an area of my hobby interest, not vocational
interest, but it overlaps.....] If they bring me in a different way, I
might be able to get the terms written in a better manor for my
concerns....

Take care.....
