You unequivocally said that the usage of "if" was "inelegant".

The very qwk mail reader you swear by has the usage of "if" all
throughout its source code, as does the source code for the linux kernel,
for which without the linux OS isnt and is useless.

Perhaps you should stay away from message topics you arent qualified to
speak of, you obviously arent a programmer.
