DS>SE> It would be nice to see some activity in this echo once
DS>SE> again. I was beginning to wonder if we shouldn't fold
DS>SE> up the tent and join the masses on the Internet.....
DS>
DS>Keep the tent up. The forecast calls for a "flurry" of
DS>activity.
Don't tell me that it's snowing again in your area?
DS>All joking aside I just have thing against feeding the Internet
DS>monster until it swallows up everything else. Up until this
DS>week I didn't even have a modem that would get me a connection
DS>on the internet. I have a fond place for the local BBS/Fidonet
DS>conferences and would hate to see it go away. This conference
DS>has been interesting and enjoyable for me over the time that I
DS>have been on or lurking. Anyway that's my two cents worth, and
DS>with inflation that equals about 1/220 th of a cent.
I've been a member of the BBSing community for almost ten years,
and it would be really sad to see us get swallowed up by the
Internet. I'm enough of a realist to recognize that it will
probably happen, but I'd sure like to hang in there a bit longer.
