There are a lot of cheap SSDs with names I've never heard of, which I
would avoid. I suspect some are just an SD card in a 2.5" case!
I picked up a second hand Kingston SSD to go in an ancient netbook as it
only had an SATA2 interface - it wasn't that much quicker than the
spinning rust it replaced.
For cheap small SSDs I'd use SanDisk, and larger ones Samsung.
