But for the vast majority of users it does far more than they want it to.
My mother is very happy with moz (inc moz mail) & Open Office &
Sane for scanning etc. Her problems come from having 4 wrod processors so I
had to create her a cut down set of option by putting her most used icons
on the desktop & taskbar.

Again nope. Every day tasks such as writing letters, spreadsheets, mail,
web,music, videos etc. are all fully catered for.
