Its easy, you arent the expert you portray yourself to be.

You have demonstrated the need when loosing a debate to brag to others your
self proclaimed vast knowledge of linux, even when its not the topic. You
went up to Holsonback and detailed to him what the PERL acronym stands for
so as to paint yourself as an expert, yet you are not. You have tried to
pass cron off as a "sort of batch file", when in fact it is a
application that functions as a task scheduler that can run scripts..
(Scripts are sorta like batch files, just better) You tried to impress Mimi
with your linux knlowledge and even got that wrong.

Your prattling on and on like that is no different than 1 9yo boy telling

Its one thing to be an expert at something and then to speak of your
expertise from a position of authority, its another to be somewhat less of
an expert or even a novice and then try to parlay ones limited knowledge
into being an expert.

Maurice Kinal is one I would call an expert, he has been running linux
since the dinosaurs went extinct, he is opinionated but he has no need to
brag and he has the knowledge to do so if he so chose, you do not.

There are a fair number of people around you that you know, that run linux,
are better at it than you but dont choose to reveal that fact to you, so
everytine you go on a bragging spree, you make yourself look like an ass.
