Hiya Will,
On 09-02-98, whilst lying in the gutter of the information super highway, I
heard Will Hargrave whispering to Neil Croft about X,
NC>> Unless you're using your Linux box as the router then it wouldn't
NC>> matter. Can you get x21 interfaces for a PC?
 WH> Don't know (again)
Pah!
WH> But it still says it supports it! ...
Maybe so. It's only a serial link basically.
NC>> Sounds like the prob I had when I went over to cable. Bandpass
 NC>> filtering allegedly.
WH> Have to be pretty thin bandpass...
Voices use a narrow but different band of frequencies to modems. All Teleco's
use filtering to allow multiple calls to share single paths. Unfortunately,
if the bandpass is set for voice then modems get clipped. You still only get
the same bandwidth, just higher up the scale.
