The Linux drivers and kernel design are in no shape whatsoever to deliver
glitchless sound and video. Examine them yourself - I have.  There are no
notions at all about latency and interrupt response standards.  This is the
reason why Windows can do it somewhat well - MS has some standards and
enforces them if you want your driver in the product.  Nobody enforces any
standards of this sort on Linux.

Anything can do spreadsheets and email - including the existing systems the
UK govt has in place.
