We have a CD full of educational files here at the Aurora as well as several
CDs that have educational directories. I buy them for me ;) but make them
available to everyone. As for a separate message area...not yet, but we set
areas up when people ask for them. I know several of the kids on our BBS are,
or were, homeschooled.
Have you checked the TABBS list (Tacoma Area BBS) that Amocat puts out? 
Generally, if a BBS carries this echo, then they also carry educational files
too...unless it's one of those that carry everything FIDONET puts out. If it
carries the echo specifically (we only have seven echos from FIDONET) then 
he
sysop is either interested in education or is responding to a demand from the
users for educational files and areas.
