Sorry about that man! I thought you might be a greenhorn evidently not!
By looking at your call it appears the code has'nt slowed your classification
either. It has mine but I'm still struggling with the characters and speed.
I have all the cw software but my neurons are'nt firing due to medications
I'm on. I hang out on 52.525 FM and have a shoebox full of QSL cards from 6M.
alot of them are from Canada. The most distant FM 6M contact is a Maritime
Mobile off the coast of Capetown, South Africa. Probably could do better with
SSB. I am taking a hard look at the ICOM 736 or the 756 that is yet to come
out (6-160m @ 100w). If I could get me a General ticket I'dd probably pick up
the ICOM and maybe a Ten-Tec Omni 6 for the dig out the weak signal radio.
Back in the early 70's I passed the First RadioTelephone ticket and now I
maintain a General Radiotelephone ticket with the radar endorsement. It is
quite pathetic that I have so much trouble with the code. Back to 6 meters,
I congratulate Canadian hams for recognizing 6m. I hear more of you guys than
here in the states when the band opens and glad to work you fellows up there.
Usually I converse about equipment, antenna design and so forth instead of
working some contest and jamming up the airwaves calling CQ CONTEST! I think
most of us 6m nuts avoid that and am glad of it. Log me as a 6m nut and hope
to work your station next opening. 73's from KE4GQE. Address good in callbook
