BE> I agree with Lance Maresh's message wherein he suggested that
BE> your piloting skills would progress more quickly with the
BE> Stik. If your goal is to become the best pilot you can be,
BE> as quickly as possible, get the Stik. You'll spend less time
BE> adjusting to the flight characteristics of the plane. If
BE> your goal is to simply fly planes you like, go Sportster.
I like to work on my skills; having a pretty plane is secondary.
BE> When I was at your stage I got a Dynaflite Fun Scale P-51,
BE> and I had a blast! I probably lost a summer's worth of
BE> progress as an aerobatics pilot, adjusting to the plane and
BE> trying to keep a silver plane in sight. I didn't care.
BE> I was busy doing strafing runs on Axis field mice!
I know what you mean. When I flew that full size Taylorcraft in
my younger, more foolish years I tried to dogfight buzzards.
Now I'm just glad to be alive.
BE> Most important, you should agonize over which to get. Deciding
BE> what should be your next project is the sweetest sort of
BE> daydreaming. Well, almost...
Agreed. And it's fun hearing opinions from you guys. Thanks.
