RJT> JE> A new development in my crazy system problems. RJT> JE> Every once in a while when I try to boot up I get the following RJT> JE> message: RJT> JE> NTLDR is missing RJT> JE> Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart. RJT> JE> Doing this causes NOTHING to happen. RJT> JE> If I press RESET on the case, the system usually reboots correctly. RJT> JE> This AM, I THINK I noticed that the C: (boot drive) was not RJT> JE> recognized in the BIOS load phase of booting. I will have to pay RJT> JE> closer attention to what is happening during that phase in the RJT> JE> future. RJT>Does the drive get recognized if you reset? It sounds to me like it's taking a RJT>little bit too long to respond to the rest of the system, initially. Yes, usually, but not always. The drive is not recognized by the BIOS routine which is BEFORE the loading of anything Windows.
