RJT> How does max deal with that?
I solved the problem by setting a different key for each CD and then
during "logon" a MECCA file will show which CD is in the drive at the moment
and change the user's keys accordingly.
RJT> Any other pointers about setting up cdrom file areas?
Make a subdirectory in your Max dir or somewhere on your drive(s) and
copy all the filearea listings from the CD to that directory. Then as
you configure the CD areas into FILEAREA.CTL, mention an alternate location
for the FILES.BBS files.
Here's how I've done it in my FILEAREA.CTL:
FileArea CD2-49
ACS Disgrace/C2
TYPE CD
Desc CD2.Windows tools & utilities (A-K)
Download I:\MUSTANG\W_TOOLS1
Upload E:\File\Upload
FileList C:\Max\FList\CD2\F49.BBS
End FileArea
The C key means that the CD areas in general are available and then the
2 key points which CD is in the drive.
And btw, by using SCDMax I think you will save a lot of time. :)
