A WORD FROM THE CHEF
__________________________________________________
Here's a message I received the other day:
Hi Chef!
I was disturbed to see in the Recipictionary that some of the letters
were hanging there without definitions. This is clearly unfair to
those perfectly good consonants, so here are the required definitions
to bring it completely up to date:
Jamgerine (noun) - A sweet sort of marmalade made exclusively from
tangerines.
Underpants (noun) - The low anticipatory moaning sounds made by my
stepson when he sees a really rare steak.
Velocipeas (noun) - Frozen vegetables cooked extremely quickly with
lots of steamy effort.
Xpulsions (noun) - What happens to peas, lentils, and other such
legumes when ground into a paste and fed to a small baby.
Zorropastrianism (noun) - The art of slashing a stylized Z-cut in the
top of pies before placing into the oven. This is usually performed
after watching dated (or sometimes currant) movies featuring... well,
there's no point in being too obvious.
Finally, I would like to add one definition which I am prepared to
justify with recipes:
Wonderfood (noun) - British cooking.
Regards,
Alan Duxbury
