Made that jump about a year ago and now have three BBSs running with all
or most of the programs you listes, and never once have I looked back.
If your experience is like mine, you should be fine. :)
Start with copying the DOS prompt shortcut. Edit the copy so it loads
your Bink batch file, and change the following settings (right click, then
select "properties"): Under Program, check the "close on exit" box,
under Memory, set everything to "auto" and check both check boxes,
under Misc, disable screen saver and slide the idle senstivity bar
all the way to the left, under Screen, set to use full screen.
(Those are the settings I use, and they work for me. YMMV.)
Get ahold of WinFossill and set it up with Bink. Other Fossils may
work OK, so this is worth testing. Add the Winslice word to
Binkley.cfg. You can also get Binkley/32, the 32-bit version made
 for Win95.
Making sure Binkley is going to hand off to Maximus is the hardest
part. Once running, Maximus should behave as it always has.
Same for Squish, timEd, and your nodelist compiler. You can use the
 regular DOS shortcut for timEd.
 Good luck!
 Patrick
