I know many people who don't channel who are experiencing health
difficulties. Your point ?
If you are suggesting a connection then I would partly agree with you.
Many mediums are poorly trained and therefore have more discordant
energies/entities in their auras than they should. This can result in
physical ill health manifesting.   :-)

"Psychic draining" isn't limited only to psychic readers. It happens
in many of the caring professions. Particularly to those people who
don't properly apply psychic protection techniques.

If one is doing "inspired writing" then they are doing mental
channeling. If doing "automatic writing" then their hand is in trance.
