Turns out these mysterious netmails were actually intended for a newsgroup 
alttest that I have set up in Irex as a gate.  I have other newsgroups gated 
that are working fine and I didn't see where I mucked this one up.  Anyway, I 
just deleted it as I don't want or need it.  And since doing so I haven't had 
any issues with unwanted netmail.
