Hi Beery,
I just checked the carbon on the message that I sent to you last night and
found it to be fairly intelligible. I just got a new system and modem from a
friend who thinks that my old 286 system needs to be archived. Anyway the
new system, for all its bells and whistles, doesn't work well with the BBS
node that I'm using.
Anyway, as for the agency issue, thanks for dropping me a line about NASDS.
I currently teach for CMAS and the YMCA SCUBA Program, which is not as
popular down south in warm water land as it is in other parts of the world.
I have taken classes and specialty programs in most of the different agencies
available in this region: ie NASDS, PADI, NAUI, CMAS, PDIC and YMCA. It is
true that the materials and approach varies some from agency to agency but
all of the agencies have theri good and bad eggs that, if taken as
representitive of the entire agency, could give people the wrong impression.
I think that was how the whole question of which agency you were talking
about came about was something to do with limits recommended or something
like that.
Hopu're all wet.
Dennis
