There is a full screen editor and a line editor in Maximus.  One or the
other is what you get the choice of as a user.

As a Sysop, there is a way to hook in an external editor, but I haven't
done that.....

Ok, so you want to take advantage during reading.  I'm not sure if the
Wordstar key strokes work in the "full screen" mode when reading
messages.
