Hi Steve,
How is everything going with buying your new place. Well my fiance' and
I just found out that his office with ADT Security here in Sacramento is
closing and moving to Colorado, But he may get a job with installations
for ADT in the Bay area(2 hour commute) or he could have had a chance to
transfer out to Tampa Bay, Florida But we would loose our shirts if we
sold our house now so we need to hold onto it for awhile longer and make
some improvements first but we are going to work on saving for a
vacation to Florida and I would love to see the Duane. What else would
be good sites to see that you would recommend?

SE>JD>Interesting that they will only let you explore down to 100
SE>JD>feet. What is the deepest part of the wreck? I can kind of
SE>JD>understand the limit for beginners but anyone with Advanced
SE>JD>should be able to handle it.

SE>Famous last words... The Duane sits in the sand at roughly 130
SE>FSW, so it's not so much the depth of the wreck that causes
SE>concern, it's the fact that you can get lost very easily inside
SE>of a ship that's 327 feet long. The dive shops will let you dive
SE>the three levels of the superstructure which have numerous openings
SE>for extended penetration, but they will not allow the general
SE>diving public to penetrate below the main deck.
I heard in Truk lagoon in the past some divers have wondered into the
submarines and other wrecks and gotten lost which was the ultimate
reason why they died. Shouldn't people who want to see the inside of
wrecks be going through almost a technical diving program??? Like a
mixed gas technical dive??

SE>Depends on who you dive with... the larger operators like Slate's
SE>and Ocean Divers will run boats every day of the year (weather
SE>permitting) and often run multiple boats to accomodate divers of
SE>differing experience levels.

SE>JD>I like the part about the lobster, I could just about live
SE>JD>on it. Shit, I need to get down there.

SE>I brought home 14 last Saturday. :)
