Depends where you are geographically, really. Check www.linux.org (IIRC) for
starters. But if you're over a modem, a CD may be a better option.

NFS = Network File System. UN*X system for mounting drives etc. over a
network. Usually over UDP/IP.

I can't compare the two, as I have never used NT4's DNS. But I don't think
you'll have many problems, just copy the examples in the named manual page
and/or the Linux Network Administrators Guide, and alter them. I didn't have
many problems.
As a top level domain, I think I'm right in thinking that you'll need two DNS
servers.
That said, there's nothing to stop you using IP Aliasing to run both on the
same machine ;-)
