Iran ready to share military experiences with Syria: Firuzabadi

TEHRAN, June 13 (MNA) -- Iran is prepared to share its military
experiences with Syria, the head of the Iranian Armed Forces'
Headquarters, Major General Seyyed Hassan Firuzabadi, said here 
on Tuesday during a meeting with visiting Syrian Defense Minister 
General Hassan Turkmani.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to share its armed forces'
experiences with Syria, especially in the area of defense industries,"
Firuzabadi stated.

Security and peace will prevail in the Middle East region through the
expansion of cooperation between Islamic states, he added.

He called Israel's state-sponsored terrorism the biggest regional
security threat, saying, "Israel cannot realize its expansionist 
goals if the Islamic states act in harmony and with unity."

Firuzabadi praised Syria for its key role in the resistance to the
Zionist regime and described Iran-Syria relations as satisfactory.

The Syrian defense minister underlined the need for the two countries
to exchange military delegations.

Turkmani said the main causes for the continuation of insecurity in
the region are Israel and the U.S. support for the occupying regime's
crimes, adding, "We should thwart their plans through unity and
vigilance."

He also welcomed Iran's readiness to share its military experiences
with his country.
