I don't have the power to question that.  We're a global company based in
France, and while I have a lot of autonomy, I must be able to exchange info
with everyone.

I'll do what it takes to keep things running, if and when the time comes. 
I don't really see anything I wont be able to deal with coming, my gripe is
that it's going to take more time and cause me more work.

That's certainly a problem, but I'm aware of those problems and deal with
them with contingency planning -- either backup hardware or a plan to deal
with it when I don't have the hardware.  There isn't a PC or server in the
company that I couldn't replace quickly if needed.  We don't only depend on
Windows for all of our applications, so the PC's are just fat /
interchangeable clients, so it's not as hard as you are thinking.  I also
don't upgrade machines as a rule, so most important PC's aren't running
anything that has activation.

WinXP isn't a corporate standard, it's a cost issue -- Office is a corp standard...
