A WORD FROM THE CHEF

Here are the last of your brilliant new additions to the Recitopian
dictionary - you guys are awesome!
Banavalanche (noun) - what happens as you select bananas you want from
a display and others go sliding to the floor.
Boobidge (noun) - Any non-carbonated kiddie drink that matches the
blue carpet. Example: Do you want milk or boobidge with your lunch?
Coffee-shock (noun): The state a person enters upon dragging out of
bed, stumbling to the kitchen and realizing that they are out of
coffee.
Dumpleling (noun) - Dumpling so awful that it goes directly from the
pot to the garbage disposal.
Hereaftertaste (noun): flavor that lingers in the back of the throat
after something heavenly has been swallowed. (Example: She loves the
hereaftertaste she gets from my Angel Food Strawberry Trifle.)
Mallomartini (noun): drink consisting of chocolate, marshmallow, and
gin; one of the new generation of "hip" martinis. (Example: This is
her first visit to Club-I'm-Too-Cool-For-Words -- give her one of
those Mallomartinis.)
Marmaladle (noun): a jelly-jar serving spoon. (Example: Special today
-- buy a quart-size container of any of our homemade preserves, and
get a Marmaladle with it, FREE!)
Mussgos (noun) - everything leftover in the fridge must go.
Parsleymonious (adjective): the curmudgeonly use of parsley and other
plate decorations. (Example: The new waitress needs to go back to
garnishing class; she's way too parsleymonious.)
Saffrontery (noun): an insulting statement about the quality of the
chef's exotic spice. (Example of this concept: "Where'd the saffron
hue in this paella come from? -- a food coloring bottle?")
Weisenheimlich Maneuver (noun): a haughty waiter's response to the
patron who gasps when he sees his dinner bill. (Example: "What didja
think? Those truffles grew on trees?")
