Sounds do-able to me. You have 1 table as you describe and then a
second table that you fill in each week with the part number and the
quantity in stock. You then run a query linking the two using the part
number as the common field, returning only those entries where the
actual stock is less than the minimum, calculating for those the value
(Max stock - Actual Stock). The result table will have the stock
number and the quantity to be ordered. You can use a report to
generate purchase orders.
