Yes, I plugged a wheel mouse into Anthony's laptop and was able to use both
mouse buttons and the scroll wheel immediately.  The OS just accepted it
and use it, without comment.

It doesn't look or feel XP to me.

XP's GUI was probably first, but I think OS/X is based on one of the BSD
unixes, so it's guts have been around as long or longer than XP/NT.
