It doesn't always happen - just sometimes, and as the RPi is only left
idle like this as part of my weekly backup+upgrade session on all my
systems, its not annoying enough to do anything about it: I just switch
on the RPi, boot a laptop that's sitting alongside it and login to the
RPi from the laptop when both are up.
