Apparently Iran has chosen August 22 because Aug 21 (Rajab 27, 1427)
is the "Night of Sira'a and Miira'aj" - when the
"prophet" Mohammed
"ascended to heaven" from the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
"Miira'aj"
looks much like our word "mirage".

I can only agree, and remember in 3) above that while we understand the
Rapture as being a means of deliverance of the Church -from- judgment,
others, such as followers of New Age beliefs, expect that "negative",
"separatist" people (eg Christians) will be removed -in- judgment, as
part of a process of "planetary cleansing" (or something like that).
