Ah,  now things begin to become a little bit clearer...
Where I've been having a bit of a problem with some of this stuff is seeing 
where the different parts fit on the different layers.
 MB> and the most common one used for NetBIOS is NetBEUI. 
Is that an acronym for something?  Or that last part of it?
