Greetings All!
I haven't pinned down the /precise/ trigger for this problem yet, but so far 
it's looking like either Netscape/2 or MR/2 is the instigator.
After exiting from one or the other (or perhaps both--this is when it 
happened last), the next window I open on the desktop has some peculiar 
properties.
    1. The window simply can't be closed. Alt-F4, close buttons, close
       via window list, etc. have no effect.
    2. The button at the left end of the title bar gets mangled, sometimes
       disappearing completely.
The only solution I've found for this to date is a shutdown and reboot. Note 
that in the process of shutting down, the window finally closes.
Am I alone with this little annoyance, or has it happened before and someone 
has a solution?
