There's a DNS bug in v2.29 that causes internal error 11 starting up the
daemon, though it only happens with later versions of the linux kernel (2.4 &
2.6). Kernel 2.2 and very early 2.4 kernels should be ok for now. I run the
client functions (only) under kernel 2.4.22 by hard coding IP addresses (they
seldom change) and reviewing the log for IP errors (only takes a sec). YMMV ...
