Hi Alan, AI> Now I have some time I thought I'd have another look at it and see if AI> I can get it going. I suspect I will not be able to help much as I have not looked at the source at all. AI> Max is a dos program though, No, Max V1 was definately OS/2 with DOS modules added in, and Max 2 & 3 are of a similar model. AI> and I think that is where the difficulty AI> is. Linux is just too different to get these sources working. Yes there is a lot of work required to embrace the unix programming model from something based on OS/2 (which was modelled off DOS to a certain extent), but it should be no harder than porting something the other way around either. I see the main issues as relating to the interface to the OS itself, as they have quite different methodologies. AI> That's my suspicion anyway. If I was a programmer I'd have a look and AI> see if it could be done but it's all greek to me.. :) I don't think greek and C mix well............;-) Cheers............pk. --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: === Maxie BBS.
