NB>> Hey, life happens... and things can overwhelm... but at least when you
NB>> do make the effort, you can connect to a support group... ;)
PH> That I can. It's been a busy few weeks with work, family etc. I'm
PH> currently training to climb a mountain with my son next February and
PH> that's taking up a few of the remaining spare hours also.
I can see where that would... ;) One would indeed want to be in shape
for such an undertaking.. :) How old is your son...? And how
high/rugged the mountain...?
NB>> Yeah, I know... winter doesn't want to relinquish hold where you are,
NB>> and summer is being pretty tenacious here, too... Hot, humid and
NB>> sticky... August weather, even though it's well into September now... :)
PH> Usually we get Summer style weather here around November onwards but
PH> incresingly it seems to have shifted forward a month or so to the
PH> point that Jan or Feb feels more the the start of Summer proper.
If I'm figuring it right, November should be essentially late spring for
you... Dec 21 or so being the summer solstice... Our winter doesn't
usually settle in until January, either... :)
NB>> Do you at least have the early spring flowers peeking through the
NB>> snow...? That's what keeps my spirits up at the juncture between
NB>> winter and spring... :)
PH> Yep daffodils (excuse spelling) are poppig up and some native trees
PH> are now in flower. Garden shops are gearing up for a big planting
PH> season that kicks pff late October here.
Daffodils is spelled properly... ;) Bulbs and flowering trees should
make it feel spring-like even if the snow and temps are slow to
cooperate... :) Do you have forsythias there...?
