It doesnt have the addictive qualities of other drugs, such as most opiates
or nicotine.

Having smoked POT way back in my youth, I did not feel any need to have to
have it in my system and paid no consequences when I didnt get it, as I
only did so socially at parties and such, unlike cigarettes, where a
physicalpenalty is felt when the body gets deproved of nicotine.

The addictiveness is just the high, but the addiction is not chemically
induced, only the want of the person to be high.

I would imagine that those taking POT medicinally for pain, dont even feel
the high part.

But afaic, POT is a gateway drug for stronger more dangerous stuff.
