Kevin:

From memory, some of this is going to have to be manual.....

Unfotunately, you mention that you are running under MS-DOS. I've been
tracking tools for use under OS/2.... So, some of my thoughts may not
apply to your situation....

For squish, not *.msg areas, try (without typing the quotes) "dir /o:s
*.sqd >list.txt". The /o:s is hopefully order by size under your
OS. Any .sqd file of 256 bytes is "empty".

One tool I use is SQAFIX. While I haven't used this option, maybe using
the passthru option will help.

Another tool I use is echofix. This *might* do some of what you want for
cleanup. I've used it to add new echos. I can cleanup some of you
stuff.... Delete the configuration of some echos in one place and this
should cleanup one of the other places.... Use with caution....

Good luck.... As I said, I still tend to do this type of cleanup manually.
