It's been a good week in politics:

1.  After Nancy Pelosi drained the swamp of Republican corruption in 2007,
she filled it back up with people like Charles "Chollie" Rangel, who may be
as corrupt at the Clintons or Edwardses.  Ole Chollie relinquished his Ways
and Means gavel to Fortney Pete Stark, who is insane.  Fortney holds the
gavel for about a minute before Madam Speaker realizes her mistake and gives
the gavel to Sander Levin, brother of Carl Levin. Folks, this is a
motherlode of political talent and virtue.

2.  Union thugs are unhappy with President Hopety Change becase his health
care debacle doesn't contain the public option.  They are also pissed
because he is not focusing on jobs.  They are also pissed because, well,
they are union thugs and pissed is their default state.  Given their love of
violence and gunplay, Hopety Change might want to avoid union thugs for a
while.

3.  Dylan Hartigan.  I don't need to say anything more.

4.  More locally, over in the shithole Bull Connor Klan moderates, Otto
AR-KAY Sauer, PhD is hosting a series of lectures on politics and **REAL
SCIENCE****.  Otto attempts to define "right wingers" with the example of
Vince Foster, a name I haven't heard in ten years or so.  To illuminate his
***REAL SCIENCE*** theory of global warming, Otto, PhD bring to the fore the
theory of gravity.  Real scientists everywhere are taking notes, and when
Otto, PhD gets to his theory on the slowing speed of light, the Nobel
committee will perk up.  Fido should count its lucky stars to have such
talent aboard.

5.  Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY), a married man, is trying to bed a young male
staffer.  Didn't hear much about that from the family values democrats
around here, did we?  Mark Foley, on the other hand....

6.  Take it away, fat ass!
