Oh yes it is. I recall very well an incident where a node in my net many years
ago cross-posted to many echoes. In addition to the nice flack I got Netmailed
my way from the moderator as I was in the PATH, I also had a Netmail from
Souvestre. If I remember it wasn't nasty, just an "FYI" type from him. I
responded with "noted". I suspect Satti copyrighted that phrase before I
had a chance.

So yes... the backbone did get involved.
