subject: What software ?

Hello Nigel!

23 Jul 04 13:27, you wrote to me:

It does change some files but I can't say it has caused me any problems over
the last 3 years. Some system files such as within xinetd.d is normal when
installing any daemons.

The bbs user account is used for first logins for a new user after which mbse
create a simple login based on the bbs guest's name. After which s/he logins
using that account name but ONLY gets the bbs.

See above statement.

NR> Ie, am I going to have a lot of "bbs" users logged in
when I type who.

If you are multi line or allow mault users via the internet then yes bit sa I
have said they are very limited in what they can do. Security wise I have
never had a breach at any time but I do run my boxes at above 'standard'
security level as my system are linked to the internet.

mbse forms but a very small part of my bbs box ie below 5% under any
conditions and usually below 1%.
