He campaigned on not allowing Death Sentences to be carried out during his
term.  I guess the folks who appreciate it are the ones that voted for him
with that in mind, or that voted for Harris with Trump's promise of
resuming executions in mind.

Supposedly, he said it was because X percentage of death row inmates are
believed falsely accused.  Not sure I believe that.

At least two of them are charged with "hate crimes" so that would have been
bad for business for a Democrat to commute their sentences.

Some lefties probably are.  Some Democrats apparently are not.

It did lead to an interesting discussion with family members, though.  We
never did quite figure it out but some of the crimes these guys were in
for, on the surface, didn't sound like "federal crimes."  We were not sure
why they were on "federal" death row vs. the death row of a state they
committed the murders in.
