While there could be potential military uses, I would be more concerned
with its use in everyday life and how it could be hacked.

That is also possible, but I would currently be more concerned with it
giving you answers that turn out to do more harm than good.  You should
always check answers given by AI against a reliable source.

I suspect the biggest use that most governments would want out of it now is
a faster way to predict results of things... like where will all the water
go if this dam breaks, or where will the drought spread to if we don't get
any rain?

But, yes, there will be bad actor uses, too.
