While Fidonet has shrunk and is shrinking in places, we also have admitted
a few new nodes into the network here in region 18.

I have heard for the past 8 years that Fidonet will be gone in 5, yet it is
still here. It has only shrunk down to leave the diehards like you and I.

Otto correctly points out that the newsgroups possess a harsher messaging
environment.
