Here's the thing Nick... I won't be so quick to be positive if you won't be so
quick to be negative. You can't define light without dark and vice versa.
It's impossible so one is dependant on the other to survive.
I see many POSITIVE things in your message if you look at it from both ways.

Yes... and perhaps they should be allowed to fall off of the nodelist. But
then I've noticed some long forgotten echos that are in the ether that are
still connected (that do not have a moderator mind you) suddenly have a spurt
of activity.
If anything I think that roboposting of rules will do more to drive people away
than encourage posting. I feel that if someone really was passionate about
continuing an echo they should talk in that echo or post articles or something
that would entice people to join in. My style of moderatorship is not rule
posting and bashing people up the head when they get out of line. My style of
moderatorship is seeing where someone is coming from when they post something
inflamatory and then engaging them in conversation about it.
Yes I did call Ed out in one of my echos, but not in a negative way. I really
don't believe there was one bit of malice behind it... but in my many years of
court (as a law enforcement officer I spent much time in the court room) when
someone says "I did it but ..." nothing after the but matters they just said I
did it.

The old Church in the country that still has an outhouse where my Uncle
preaches will tell you. Sometimes the outhouse needs to be stirred...
1. There may be a snake in it.
2. Stirring it will make it stink bad momentarily, but usually has the
effect of making it stink less in the long run.
I admire Flavio's post too... it's time we start bringing new ideas to the
table.
